Walgreens has Dove Men’s Body Wash for $5.99 this week, and when you buy it, you’ll get a Register Reward for $5.99 to use on a future purchase (this makes it “free”). If you use this $1 off 1 coupon you’ll pay only $4.99 out of pocket and still get a $5.99 Register Reward, meaning you’ll make a dollar off this deal!
If you aren’t familiar with Walgreens, a Register Reward is a coupon that prints out at the register from a “catalina” machine. It prints on thin, receipt type paper. You can then turn around and use the $5.99 Register Reward or “coupon” for anything in the store (some minor exclusions like gift cards, etc.).
Generally you CANNOT use a register reward to buy the item again to get another register reward. For example, if you bought this Dove Men’s Body Wash for $5.99 and you received a $5.99 Register Reward. . .IF you used that $5.99 Register Reward to buy another Dove Men’s Body Wash you would NOT get another Register Reward. In other words you cannot “roll” the Register Rewards to get FREE stuff. It sounds complicated, but it’s really not once you get the handle of it.
You CAN, in most cases, use your Register Rewards from OTHER purchases when you buy an item like the Dove Men’s Body Wash and still get the Register Reward to print. Just be careful, when items are from the same company – like both P&G, you generally can’t roll the register rewards.
E-mail me if I’ve totally confused you and I’ll try and explain it better.
Or, if you are a regular Walgreens shopper and you can explain this better – please leave a comment!
(Thanks, Budget Mommy!)

If you go to the dove website there is a $1.50 coupon, plus this is a Rite Aid $4 Rebate for February, I got the coupon savings and with the reward I got more than free!
