Fred Meyer – Toy Story 3 promotions galore! Get toys, cereal, movie ticket and lunch kit
There are sooo many Toy Story promotions going on right now, it’s hard to keep them all straight. Today at Fred Meyer I found a “quadruple play” when you buy Toy Story toys. A quadruple play means that I’m able to take advantage of four different promotions at once!
These are the four promotions:
Promotion #1
Toy Story 3 toys are 20% off at Fred Meyer right now, no coupon needed
Buy $25 worth of toys, use $5/$25 Fred Meyer coupon (good only today and tomorrow)
Promotion #2
Purchase $10 in Toy Story 3 toys, get a FREE Toy Story Lunch kit by mail (valued at $10!)
Tearpad rebate forms were located on a big display with toys
Promotion #3
Save $5 on a Toy Story 3 Toy (of $5 or more) when you buy 3 Kelloggs, Sunshine and/or Keebler products
Tearpad coupon located on same big display with promotion #2 rebate
Promotion #4
UseĀ 6 codes from the six boxes of specially marked Kellogg’s cereal to score a FREE movie ticket!
Here’s what the display looks like with the rebate and coupons:

Here’s what I did:
I bought two Toys Story 3 cars, regular price $14.99 but on sale 20% off for $11.83 each = $23.66
I had one other housewares item that brought my housewares total to over $25
Used $5/$25 purchase 2-day savings certificate
Final price = $18.66 for the two toys
(Actually for some reason $10 came off my total when the cashier scanned the savings certificate, even though it excludes the food department which made up the rest of my order? So who knows, your mileage may vary on this one.)
I’ll send my receipt in with the rebate form for the FREE* Toy Story lunch kit by mail (*I’ll have to pay $2 shipping and handling.)

I bought six (6) boxes of specially marked Toy Story 3 Kellogg’s Mini Wheats @$2.50 each = $15
Used three (3) $1/2 blinkie coupons (available right by cereal)
Or use $1/2 Kellogg’s cereal printable coupon
Final price $12 for six (6) boxes of cereal
BUT because I bought the cereal I was about to use the two $5 coupons when you buy any three Kellogg’s, Sunshine and/or Keebler products! Subtract $10 from my toy total, so I only paid $8.66 for the two toys!

PLUS, each box of Toy Story 3 Kellogg’s Mini Wheats cereal has one code that I can use in the Kellogg’s movie promotion – so I will use all SIX codes to get a FREE movie ticket (valued at $12)!

I figured I paid out of pocket:
$8.66 for $30 in toys
$12 for six boxes of cereal
TOTAL = $20.66 out of pocket
Plus, I’ll pay $2 shipping/handling on the free lunch kit. . .
So for at total $22.66 I got:
- $30 in Toy Story 3 toys
- Six (6) boxes of cereal
- FREE Toy Story lunch kit by mail
- One (1) FREE movie ticket
Here are some ways you can do this a little cheaper:
- The coupon for buy any three Kellogg’s, Sunshine and/or Keebler products and save $5 on a Toy Story 3 toy (of $5 or more) doesn’t specify which products you need to buy. I ended up buying Kelloggs cereal that came out to $2 a box, but that’s because I wanted the FREE movie tickets. If you had coupons for other Kelloggs, Sunshine or Keebler products you might be able to reduce your out of pocket and save $5 off a toy that is priced close to $5. But then you wouldn’t get the movie tickets, so you just have to decide what you want.
- Buy cheaper Toy Story 3 toys. The FREE lunch kit only requires you spend $10 on Toy Story toys. If you bought two Toy Story toys that were a little over $10 – you could still get the FREE lunch kit, get the cereal and get the FREE movie tickets – you just wouldn’t be able to use the $5 off $25 coupon (unless you had other houseware items that you were going to buy anyway that would bring your total over $25).
- You can wait – the $5 coupons are good until 8/21/2010, the lunch kit rebate expires 9/30/10, the cereal might go on sale cheaper or with a catalina promotion, and the Toy Story 3 toy prices might drop after the movie comes out? Don’t wait to get the coupons though – they will go fast. If you can get a better price on the cereal or toys it would make a big difference in your bottom line.
