March is Frozen Food Month . . .clean out your freezers

I wanted to give you a little heads up that March is just around the corner! In addition to daffodils and spring themed goodness – it’s Frozen Food Month! You’re probably thinking whoop-dee, what’s in it for me? The answer is simple: cheap frozen food. This is a big deal in the grocery world – they have entire websites and campaigns dedicated to the promotion of frozen and refrigerated foods - so grocery stores around the nation will be offering HOT deals on COLD foods.
The National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Assocation (did you know there was such a thing) is also reporting that on March 4 we should see a three-page coupon insert (also known as an FSI – or free standing insert) that will include coupons and product photos of participating brands! Wahoo, a bonus coupon insert and I’m hoping we’ll get in our local paper!
I can’t tell you what kind of deals we’ll see and I can’t promise that we will get the coolest deals of the year – but I would suggest cleaning out old food from your freezers and doing an inventory of what you have, so when the sales come – you’ll be ready! Hopefully they won’t let us down and if they do, at least your freezer will be cleaned out.
