I just got back from my Safeway getting the Panko deal and some free POM Wonderful juice. But… I didn’t get the Panko deal because Safeway apparently has a policy that you can’t get more than a 50% discount using an internet coupon! I’d never heard that before, but the cashier said they didn’t enforce it until recently when some people were coming in and buying cases of steeply discounted items. She said that the problem is that the internet coupons could be counterfeit.
They also only had 3 bottles of the pomegranate juice left because people had been buying cases of it.
I’ll try another local Safeway to see if I can get the Panko. I know my coupons aren’t counterfeit since I got them straight from the Kikkoman website, but I can understand why they started enforcing the policy.

I also spotted some Kikkoman sweet and sour mix at my Safeway for .99 cents which makes it a free item with coupon. Happy shopping!

I love this stuff. I use it where ever you would use regular breadcrumbs. Makes things super crunchy.

I love to make turkey burgers. I use one package of ground turkey breast, 1/4 cup Panko crumbs soaked in a dash of milk, one egg, one diced and seeded jalapeño, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp lemon pepper. I mix it all together and form into patties, then grill,, broil, or pan-fry. They are very lean and delicious! They can be served on any kind of bun, or when my husband is eating low carb, I put two together with a piece of cheese melted in the middle. My whole family loves them.
