This morning I got an email from Amazon about Amazon Mom changes which are scheduled to take effect November 11, 2014. The most notable Amazon Mom change is instead of 20% off your Subscribe and Save orders (with five or more subscriptions/month), you’ll now get 15% off when you reach five subscribe and save orders.
My email did mention that I would be an Amazon credit toward existing or new Subscribe and Save subscriptions. With more details to come about the credit in early November when the change becomes effective.
Amazon mom benefits still include:
- 20% off diapers subscriptions – Save 20% on recurring deliveries of diapers through Subscribe & Save. Subscribing saves money and you can cancel anytime. See eligible diapers here.
- Exclusive deals and discounts – Access member-exclusive deals, discounts and coupons in top categories like Baby & Child Care, Health & Personal Care, Kitchen, and more.
- 15% Baby Registry completion discount – Get a 15% discount off eligible items from your Baby Registry. Create, access, and manage your registry from your mobile device.
What I think about the change. . . Honestly I don’t feel too much heartburn over the change. The bottom line is a 5% difference and although every penny counts, I’m going to wait and watch prices before I get too worried. Amazon has offered rock-bottom online deals since they launched and I don’t expect this to change. The Subscribe and Save Deals that we score are incredible – so I’m confident that we’ll continue to see competitive pricing on products Amazon sells. Looking at the big picture of Amazon – we save as much as 70-80% off on a regular basis on everything from clothing, shoes, toys and other household needs – so until that changes, I won’t get too worked up about a 5% change in discount. Sounds like if you have certain items you like to order that you should stock up in your October Subscribe and Save order!
I’d love to know – what do you think about this change?

The thing is…I do feel heartburn over the change because when I started Amazon Mom, it used to be 30% I’m paying $100 a year for Prime Membership and I feel that all I’ve gotten is screwed from Amazon…
Because the Bottom Line is…They’ve RAISED their Membership Fee’s over the years and DROPPED their savings! It’ll be hard pressed to renew next year; especially since Sams have been giving some better deals on Diapers and Wipes lately…
