FREE admission to National Parks today, February 20

National Parks FREE Day – February 20

Today more than 100 national parks are waiving the entrance fees today for Presidents’ Day! Go to the National Park Service website for a list of participating parks. The National Park Service also has an easy-to-use directory of parks by name, location, activity and topic.

Entrance fees to National Parks will be waived again April 15 – 16 for National Park Week. Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included.

  • April 15-16 and 22-23: Weekends of National Park Week
  • August 25: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 30: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11-12: Veterans Day Weekend

Northwest Trek – FREE kids admission with adult, This weekend!

FREE KIDS N’ CRITTERS EVENT

This weekend, February 18 – 20, Northwest Trek is hosting Kids n Critters – with FREE admission for up to 4 kids (ages 12 and under) per paying adult or senior. Guests can join a kid-friendly, 30-minute Discovery Tram Tour to spy on moose, bison, elk, and other herd animals roaming freely through a 435-acre natural habitat.

In the past, they’ve also offered FREE activities, crafts, and special trailside encounters. Are you planning to head to this event?

As part of their Museum on Us program – just show your photo ID and your Bank of America/Merrill Lynch card to get in FREE at participating museums.

Washington State Parks – FREE Weekend

Through Monday, you can get FREE entry to Washington State Parks in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Discover Pass is not required to visit state parks on free days.

Upcoming Washington State Discover Pass Free Days for 2017 include:

  • Mar. 19 — State Park’s 104th birthday
  • April 15  — Spring day
  • April 22 — Earth Day
  • June 3 — National Trails Day
  • June 10 — National Get Outdoors Day
  • Aug. 25 — National Park Service 101st Birthday

Please note: A Discover Pass is still required to access lands managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife during State Parks free days.
