While I was at Fred Meyer today getting my Wisk laundry detergent for only $0.99 cents, I picked up latest FREE copy of the Naturally Preferred magazine. It only has three coupons in it, but I wanted to mention them in case they are items you purchase!
- $1 off one (1) box (5 two-bar pouches) of Clif Crunch products. Expires 12/31/2010. Looks like these are currently on sale for $16 at Fred Meyer this week, so this would make them $15.
- $1 off any two Simply Organic glass bottles spices or grinders. Expires 3/31/2011.
- $1 when you buy any two (2) Dr. Oetker Organics baking mixes. Expires 10/31/2010.
These magazines are FREE and can be found in the Health food section at Fred Meyer. The September issue is pictured above (sorry for the bad picture, I folded the magazine up and put it in my purse).
If plan to go to Fred Meyer today or tomorrow, make sure and check out my weekly deals through 9/4.

Today I turn 30! Can’t believe it. I’ve been so busy with the new baby, my 3-yr-old, the blog, and life that I’ve hardly had time to think about it (maybe that’s a good thing?). I’m excited for a day with the family and a kid-free meal with my husband (yes, we’ll be using a coupon)!
Now to the point of my post. . .for the last two weeks my e-mail inbox has been filling up with birthday offers from companies that I’ve registered with. I thought I’d list them out for you, so you can see what kind of extra bonuses you can get by signing up for these companies! Some of these companies, I’m not exactly sure how I ended up getting the e-mail, so I’ll list my best guess.
I recommend people set up a FREE e-mail address through gmail.com or hotmail.com for use when registering with company newsletters, coupons, etc – so you’re regular ole e-mail isn’t bombarded with newsletters and advertising on a daily basis.
Here’s the crazy list of birthday love. . .

Disney Family Movies on demand is offering up a FREE preview this weekend! That means you can watch unlimited Disney movies on demand if you are a customer of Blue Ridge Communications, Charter, Comcast, Cox Communications, Suddenlink, TVN Entertainment and Verizon. It’s advertised to run September 2-6.
I’m admittedly an idiot when it comes to our TV and our cable menu. I had to call the Comcast company to find out how this works. I guess in my area (on Comcast) this doesn’t start until Saturday? Not sure why it doesn’t start until Saturday, but apparently when it is available you can access it by clicking “On Demand” –> Movies –> Movie Collections –> Disney Family movies. Update – The information I received from calling Comcast was incorrect. It is active for me at this moment! I found it by clicking On Demand –> Top Picks –> FREE Disney Movies! There were four available:
- A Bug’s Life
- Monster Truck Mater
- Muppet Treasure Island
- Pocahontas
Leave a comment if you have a different provider than Comcast and how you found it in your cable menu.

I’m working on Albertsons grocery match-ups for this next week (starting 9/1) and I found a couple awesome free-bees that I just had to post – including FREE Cool Whip – no coupons needed!

Kraft Cool Whip – $1 each
Buy five (5) for $5
Pay $5 out of pocket

Save $10 on your next shopping trip when you buy 10 participating Kellogg’s or Keebler products in a single transaction
Kellogg’s Cinnabon bars – $1.99
Buy ten (10) Kellogg’s Cinnamon Bars for $19.90

Pay $9.90 out of pocket
Get $10 off your next order
Final price = FREE
These deals don’t start until tomorrow, 9/1 and will go through 9/7. I’ll be going through the ad for more great deals and will posting the Albertsons deals later.

Do your wheels need a wash? Is washing your car on your to do list? Well this Thursday, August 26, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., you can get a FREE car wash at all participating Brown Bear car washes (all tunnel locations).
You don’t need a coupon. Just show up with your dirty ride. I would be prepared to wait in a line (then if there aren’t any lines, you’re pleasantly surprised)! See a list of participating Brown Bear locations here. Looks like locations are on the East Side, in Seattle, Snohomish County, South King County and Tacoma/Lakewood.
If you live in Lacey, Hawks Prairie, Centralia and Tumwater, the Wave Car Wash has coupons on their Web site for Military Mondays – which is $2 off Tidal Wave or $3 off Tsunami car washes with a valid Military ID, or Ladies’ Tuesdays – $2 off Tidal Wave or $3 off Tsunami car washes (I’m assuming for ladies). Print the coupons and bring them with you to save on your car wash.
I have to admit, I don’t mind paying $10-12 for a car wash. Is it the most frugal thing? No, but for me it’s worth it to have a clean car without the hassle of doing it myself. I think every frugal person has things they compromise on and it’s okay! I figure I’m saving so much money in other areas of my life that I won’t feel guilty paying for a car wash once in a while (I don’t go through weekly – I’m lucky if it’s once a month). Plus, it’s entertainment for my 3-yr-old, there has got to be some value in that!
Now if I could find a frugal way to get the inside of my car cleaned! Let me know if you find a FREE detailing day!
(Thanks, Thrifty & Thriving!)
