*HOT!* Tacoma News Tribune Subscription Deal – $436 worth of coupons coming Sunday!

Queen-Bee-Special-News-Tribune

The Tacoma News Tribune will have more than $436 worth of coupons this weekend! It’s going to be a great weekend to build your coupon stash!

And you get your papers delivered with this HOT new News Tribune Couponers Sunday paper subscription offer! If you subscribe by Friday at noon, you’ll get your first delivery THIS Sunday with all these coupons.

For a limited time you can snag the Sunday paper delivered for just $1/paper – and you can order up to SIX copies. This is good news for any of you heading to the Dollar Tree every Sunday – now you can get the papers delivered to your front step, for the same price!  This is the BEST offer the News Tribune has for multiple Sunday papers and they haven’t offered this is a LONG time, so I’d snag it up while you can.

This also includes digital access at no extra cost, so you can read the News Tribune online.

Here are the main details:

  • This offer is for NEW subscribers only (current subscribers – see step 4)
  • Pre-pay only
  • You can get up to SIX Sunday papers

This is for a 26 week subscription – more than 6 months of papers!

2 Sunday papers – $52
3 Sunday papers – $78
4 Sunday papers – $104
5 Sunday papers – $130 *
6 Sunday papers – $156

* I personally get FIVE Sunday papers delivered each week. This works perfectly for things like the Buy 5, Save $5 promotions – giving me enough coupons to make the most of these types of promotions.

It comes out to EXACTLY $1 a paper, delivered!

Here’s how to get the deal:

  1. Call 866-754-8808 and ask for the QUEEN BEE SPECIAL
  2. Tell them how many subscriptions you want – choose two (2) to six (6) Sunday papers each week (2-paper minimum)
  3. Pre-pay and delivery starts 5-7 business days later (but they say if you subscribe by Friday at noon it should start this Sunday!)
  4. Current subscribers - Email them at [email protected] and explain that you are a current subscriber and that you want to re-up with the Queen Bee special. They will handle those subscription in-house. It’s a super generous offer for existing customers!

Not sure if you qualify? Want to know if they deliver in your area (you’d be surprised how far they go!). Call 866-754-8808 and they’ll be able to help you out!

Disclosure – I am a partner advertiser with the News Tribune and do receive commission for subscription sales. As with everything on my site – I would not promote if I didn’t feel it was a bargain. I personally subscribe and feel strongly that this offer one of the best they’ve had in more than a year!  All opinions and content is my own and you can count on me to be transparent with you!

News Tribunes only $1 at Safeway, starting June 16

SafewayLogoBrownNews-Tribune-Logo

You heard it hear first. Starting next Sunday, June 16 you’ll be able to get the Sunday Tacoma News Tribune for $1 at your local Safeway stores. This is good news for those of you who don’t have a Dollar Tree nearby and because there are 3x more Safeway locations than Dollar Trees in our area!

Although I get my papers delivered, I’m thrilled because if I want additional papers, it’s much more convenient for me to stop into Safeway than the Dollar Tree (and the lines are shorter, I think). And I get gas rewards. :)

Keep in mind that the News Tribune has a limited number of discounted papers available – so these discounted papers will now be spread across BOTH Dollar Tree and Safeway stores. If you are an avid Dollar Tree shopper, you might find fewer News Tribunes available as they are spreading the love to Safeway.

Starting June 16 at your local Safeway

  • Daily newspaper – $0.50 (reg. $0.75)
  • Sunday newspaper – $1 (reg. $2)

Newspaper-Stack

If you don’t want to go to any stores – you can get a discount on the delivery of the Tacoma News Tribune sunday paper! They recently released a new promotion for one Sunday paper delivered for as low as $1 a weekThis is 50% off the news stand price! This offer is available all over the Puget Sound. Get all the details here.

ENTER TO WIN
To celebrate this exciting news, I’m giving away a $25 Safeway gift card.

To enter to win, just leave a comment on this post – I want to know - Will you buy the paper at Safeway, the Dollar Tree or do you have it delivered?  I’d  also love to know how many papers you typically buy each week. If you don’t live in the News Tribune distribution area, you can still enter! Just tell me how many Sunday papers you buy each week for your coupons.

One comment per person. If you cheat you will totally be disqualified. Giveaway ends Sunday, June 16 at 9 p.m. PST. At this time I will select a one (1) winner of a $25 Safeway gift card.

This post is not sponsored. I am a partner of the News Tribune, but was not required to share this news with you. I’m personally providing the $25 Safeway gift card.

Missing inserts in your store bought Tacoma News Tribune? Here’s who to call. . .

Last week there were quite a few rumblings on the Queen Bee Facebook page from folks missing inserts in the Tacoma News Tribune papers that they purchased in the stores. I relayed all those messages to the Tacoma News Tribune who is working to figure out what might be going wrong in the retail end of things when coupons end up missing.

Here’s what you can do. . .

CALL AND REPORT THEM MISSING
Tell the Tacoma News Tribune which store you purchased your paper from, and what inserts were missing.

Here are the numbers you call:

News Tribune: (253) 597-8456
The Olympian: (360) 754-5416

The Tacoma News Tribune only received TWO complaints from the stores last week about missing inserts. If you are complaining to a store manager it is likely not making it back to the Tacoma News Tribune, so they can’t fix it. So the numbers listed above are specifically for SINGLE COPY PAPER SALES (papers you’d buy at the stores, not delivered) and they want to hear from you if you aren’t getting your inserts.

These are the inserts you SHOULD have had in the 10/2 Tribune: Smart Source, Red Plum, P&G, General Mills, Pepsi Moments to Save. The Hasbro insert was NOT in the Tribune (only Seattle Times).

There are a couple reasons why inserts are missing:

  • Sometimes the insert company (like Smart Source, Red Plum, General Mills) does not send the Tacoma News Tribune enough inserts. The Tacoma News Tribune orders the number of inserts they need for their papers and sometimes the company doesn’t send enough for whatever reason – this happened last weekend with the General Mills insert. When they come up short, they prioritize home delivery papers.
  • Someone swiped them. It’s a sad thing, but with the economy the way it is and couponing the HOT hobby that it is, inserts are being taken from the papers. This is illegal and should not happen, but it still does. When you report the inserts missing, it helps the Tacoma News Tribune figure out where they having issues with this.
  • Simple mistake. The process of inserting the coupons into the newspaper is very automated. Although there are safeguards for catching errors, it’s difficult to have a perfect track record. So sometimes you might be missing an insert, and sometimes you might get two of the same one! Check out my post about Inside the Inserts: How our coupons end up in our Sunday paper.

If you want your inserts GUARANTEED by the Tribune every week, consider getting a subscription. The TNT is able to guarantee the inserts because they aren’t handled by a third party AND when there is a shortage of inserts, the home delivery papers get TOP priority.

If you ever have problems with your home delivery paper, contact home delivery customer service at (800) 289-8711 and they should send you out new papers.

By reporting the missing inserts that Tacoma News Tribune can get the data they need for figuring out where there might be issues. I guarantee you they want to fix the issues – so let’s help them do that. :)
