The last week has been a little boring in the land of printable coupons, but looks like they released some new ones! I was especially excited to see a couple cheese coupons – those don’t come out very often.
These are some of the new coupons:

Save $1.50 on two (2) Ziploc containers
save $1 on any two (2) Ziploc bags
Save $1 on any two (2) Bic stationary products
Save $1 on any two packages of Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheat cereals
Save $1 on any One a Day adult or teen multivitamin

Could it be? More FREE cheese this week? This week at Safeway Kraft Deli Deluxe cheese is on sale for $1.99 each, when you buy five (5), here’s how you can get it free. . .
Now through August 9, you can save 70% off a Restaurant.com gift certificate – making a $25 gift certificate only $3. PLUS, for every order you place, you’ll get a $10 Restaurant.com gift certificate. Use promotion code SAVE at checkout.
Here’s how it works:
- Visit Restaurant.com and enter your zip code
- Browse the restaurants in your area
- You pick the restaurants you want and add them to your cart
- You enter the code EAT at checkout, to save 70% on your total! (Making $25 gift certificates only $3)
- After you’ve purchased your gift certificates they just hang out in your account until you print them and you want to use them. They last an entire year. So you can print them when you buy them or print them as you use them, your choice. Print out the certificate, bring it to the restaurant and give it to your server.
- Read the small print for your restaurant. Most require a $35 purchase and an 18% gratuity on the original bill total (which you really should be paying anyway.)
Here’s a dining scenario:
Spend $35 on dinner – $25 gift certificate = $10
PLUS 18% gratuity on $35 = +$6.35
TOTAL out of pocket at restaurant = $16.35
PLUS the $3 you paid for the gift certificate = $19.35 for a $42 meal (that includes a $7 tip!)
So it’s not a bad deal! Especially if you are going to be eating out anyway.
Read the fine print for each restaurant, as it can vary slightly.

Back in early June, I did a post on Costco vs. Coupons, which weighed the benefits of shopping at Costco versus shopping with coupons in traditional stores. My post includes a Costco price list that you can print out and carry with you when you’re shopping – so you can remember how much per unit for something at Costco.
The post was so popular I thought I’d link to it again in case you missed it the first go-around. I haven’t had a chance to update my price list, but I hope to do that this fall as new products come out. Check out my original post and make sure and read the comments as there are lots of helpful reader tips.

There should be FOUR coupon inserts in today’s paper – one Smart Source insert, two Red Plum coupon inserts and one P&G insert. The Sunday Coupon Preview lists out the coupons that are available, although these vary by region – there is no disputing – TODAY is a HUGE coupon day.
Ways to get newspaper coupons:
- Subscribe to a paper. If you haven’t subscribed to a local paper, it might be a good idea to do that. If you live in Puget Sound, you can get multiple copies of the Sunday Tacoma News Tribune for $1 each through a special Queen Bee promotion!!
- Ask friends, family, co-workers for their coupon inserts! If you know people who won’t use their coupon inserts, ask them to save them for you. If they are just going to be recycling them anyway, I’m sure they’d love to save them for you and you can always share your freebies with them as a way of saying “thank you”.
- Check local coffee shops. Sundays you’ll find extra newspapers laying everywhere! Stopping in for a latte? Scope out the lobby for leftover inserts laying around. Check with your local coffee shop and offer to maybe recycle their newspapers at the end of the day in return for the coupons inside!
Do you have other sources for getting FREE or cheap newspaper coupons!? Leave a comment and let us know!

It’s Mega Swag Bucks Day! That means that you’ll be more likely to win the BIG BILLS when you do your everyday Web searches using your Swagbucks toolbar!
Swagbucks is my favorite way to earn gift cards. You earn points so quickly for doing things you’d do anyway – like search the Web. If you haven’t signed up for Swagbucks, it’s not too late! It’s FREE and super easy. I love Swagbucks because it’s one of the very FEW ways you can earn gift cards for Amazon.com – one of my favorite places to shop online.
