Stopped into my Dollar Store yesterday for an Advanced Issue Seattle Times newspaper and I spotted some great ideas for stocking stuffers. I was thrilled to find some Star Wars coloring books – my son will LOVE these. He currently can’t stop reading the LEGO Star Wars Encyclopedia (great deal on Amazon) and I’m certain these will be a hit. Only $1 each.
I also grabbed a couple gender-neutral coloring books for a giving tree we’re participating in. They also had themed puzzles of all kinds (I found a Star Wars one)! And don’t forget to check out the flash cards – multiplication, matching, letters – they will easily cost you $2-3 at Target.
They also have lots of art supplies and stamp sets. I think the school/art aisle is great for finding things kinds of things.
And I fell completely in love with this spiral bound planner. Only $1 and you know this would easily be $5 or $6 at Target! This might be a cute stocking stuffer for a teenager who needs a little motivation to get organized. 😉
This time of year is a great time to pick up Christmas gift bags at the Dollar Store – you’ll save up to 75-80% off what you would spend buying the gift bags and wrapping materials at other stores. They also had big red bows and decorations for making things festive at your house. My mom is famous for her trays of Christmas cookies and desserts and she just picks up holiday plates at the dollar store – sturdy and she doesn’t have to worry about getting them back from the recipient.
You can read a post I did awhile back on my favorite Dollar Store deals for other ideas.
