Cancel Early Moments Account
Did you order the Dr. Seuss Birthday Package I posted earlier this month? I did. My kids loved the books, audio CD and the backpack we received for just $5.95 shipped. This special promotion automatically signed us up for a monthly mailing from Early Moments – which I didn’t want (looked like our next shipment would be four hardcover books shipped for $18.99), so I canceled my Early Moments account.
Here’s how to cancel your Early Moments account:
- Call 1 (800) 353-3140
- Enter your account number (from the top right corner of the invoice that came with your first shipment)
- Enter your mailing zip code to confirm account
- Follow the prompts to speak with a customer service rep
- Wait on hold
- Ask them to cancel your account. They were super nice and were able to cancel my account in just under a minute!
You might also have luck emailing them at CustomerCare@EarlyMoments.com and they say on their website that they will respond within two business days. Take note – the next shipment is scheduled to go out March 30 (or yours might be sooner depending on when you ordered, so call before it ships to avoid a charge).

I cancelled my membership the moment I ordered these books and my card just got charged $21.96 weeks later. This is exactly why I cancelled the same exact day I ordered these books to avoid getting charged and it happened anyway.

Yeah, I made the mistake of not reading the fine print and got a shipment of books from them. All said and done it comes to $27. If that mistake is made, they absolutely do not help with the shipping back. They expected me to pay the $13 to ship back the parcel of books I’m not receiving. It’s a real bummer.

I “order” the 4 books for a $1 and since it’s suppose to be a xmas present i said i wanted the extra 2 books for $5.95. The order said it went threw and said they’d send me a confirmation email…it has been 14hrs since i ordered so where is my email? And no where did it say if i ordered books im signing up for a monthly supscription…um no ill cancel this nonsense so fast…i didnt authorize that

Im very upset i purchased the books then canceled my membership and yet there was money taken out of my account the other day. i want my refund! im so upset this isnt the only people who have taken money out of my account.

I just did this offer for the five books for $5.95, and then canceled my membership to avoid recurring fees. Then I got this message from them: Due to you placing your account on hold prior to the welcome package shipping, this canceled your order and refunded your $5.95.
So as soon as they see that you are not going to be a member that they can charge monthly, they actually cancel your welcome package that they used to lure people in, in the first place. Very deceptive!

I just called and they were very quick with cancelling my account. I asked them to refund the charges to my account that I did not authorize and they said as long as I ship back the packages that those payments were for they would be happy to reimburse me. I decided to keep the package coming my way so I don’t have to worry about shipping something back. Otherwise she cancelled my account within a minute.

I’m sorry to see all these negative comments about people not being able to cancel their accounts. I just called and after I got off of hold it took less than a minute for my account to be canceled! But with all these comments I’m still going to keep an eye out to see if I’m still being charged for anything. Also, I did try to go to the Early Moments website and kept getting an error like the website doesn’t exist or something. So that’s fishy. Be careful, y’all!

I have called over 100 times and they refuse to cancel my account. I have been sent three sets of books I did not authorize them to purchase. I recommend never buying books from this company. It would have been cheaper to just buy the books at the store. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about some scam company holding my banking information and charging my account without allowing me to cancel. This is a scam.

I have sent all of the books back unopened and wish to get a full refund. I had 2 bills on the same day this month. Not at all ncccessary. The were marked ” return to sender”.

Hi, just wanted to thank you for posting the phone number on how to cancel my membership. I couldn’t seem to find a number but probably didn’t look far enough. It took me about a minute to cancel and the gal was very nice and I had no problems. Also, I think it’s funny how many people think you are associated with Early Moments!

As soon as I ordered the initial $1 for 4 books deal, I got a strange feeling that this was a scam. So I checked my email to see if they sent me a confirmation. They did, and it had a link to cancel my account. Supposedly my account has been cancelled before they could send the first shipment. I just hope they don’t send me those books. If they do, I will dispute any future charges from Early Moments with my bank.

I just received the “welcome package” and realized it was a scam where they enroll you on some monthly program. I called canceling and the lady said I accepted the terms when I enrolled, which was supposed to be a “no commitment” purchase. Now I read the terms and it says they will cancel and refund you IF you mail the “free” books back at your own expense (ha-ha-ha). I am keeping an eye on my account and definitely disputing it with the bank if they charge me anything.

I ordered the first order & next thing I know I start receiving books upon books & they say you can send them back within 30 days of the shipment date. Go figure the shipment date & the date they actually arrive is usually close to a 15 day difference & I’ve called to cancel with no help at all! Plus you lose the shipping & handling fee which adds up!

They charged my account as well,and now I have a very messed up banking account,because I did not even know they did this until I received the books. and I did not even authorize the transaction. They should not be able to do this & if this is how they do business I will take mine elsewhere. But I will have the bank investigate the charges!!!!!!!!! THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!!

I have tried to cancel numerous time. I wrote cancel on the card like they said too, I have called to cancel, I wrote a letter to cancel and they still kept on sending me books. The first time I kept the books and wrote on the card again. The next month I got another shipment and I kept the shipment and called to ask them to please cancel my account, they were very nice and said no problem it’s done. the next month I get another shipment, I call again and get the same nice, nice no problem, we’re sorry ok fine. The next month I get them again, by this time I’m fed up and I write them a kind of mean letter telling them I am sending back all the books and I want my money back. That was 2 months ago and I haven’t recieved any new shipments, but I have not recieved my refund. Luckily I did a return reciept postage so I know they got them. If they don’t give me my money back I will take them to court.

will it show the payment the day they send it or before?? I sent it to another state and they don’t have the box that shows the account number, so i’m just a little anxious so i don’t get charged with it. 🙂 lmk. thank you for everything you do on the website.

Susana – Call the phone number and tell them you lost your invoice with your account number but that you have the address and have them look it up that way. They should be able to cancel the account with other information besides the account #
