Calling all you secondhand shoppers – Goodwill is opening a Goodwill Outlet store here in Olympia – doors open at Noon today, February 19, 2015. Located at 4014 Martin Way East, Olympia, WA – the store will have a ribbon cutting ceremony and refreshments at 11:45 and shopping commences at noon!
A Goodwill Outlet store is unique from typical Goodwill retail stores because they sell a lot of items by the pound instead of individually priced. You’ll find most products in large bins – so you may find yourself doing more digging but the prices are typically going to be lower than the typical store set up.
Most everything is priced per pound – although things like books, videos, electronics, furniture, appliances and other housewares are priced as marked.
I wish I could be there today – but I’m home with my daughter today (fractured wrist!) so you’ll have to go and let me know what you find.
If you can’t make it today – they’ll also have some fun promotions this Saturday, February from 11 to 2 p.m.! And I’m sure you’ll find great bargains any day you decide to go!

Tried to go twice. First thing & again at 3pm. No parking. Cones covered two of the handicapped parking places, of which I am allowed to use. Parking spaces blocked by GW trucks as well as a portable honey bucket. All in all feeling disappointed. Will try later when things calm down! Went to Lacey South GW & found some wonderful things anyway.

I tried to go, but there was no parking. What a zoo! The deals must be pretty good, because people were leaving with carts FULL of items.
