I can’t believe the deals at QFC this week. I think we should all get very excited because there are some fantastic stock-up prices. I ended up spending $48 for everything pictured above – $10 of that is Manager markdown produce that should have cost me close to $50. I plan to make a run to the Food Bank this week or next and picked up extras for a donation. I saved $102 on my receipt, but I actually saved more than that because it doesn’t take into consideration regular price for the manager markdowns.
This Buy 5, save $2.50 sale continues through November 13, so we have lots of time to get these deals. If you want a lot of one thing, place a special order with your store. p.s. Don’t give me any crap about buying Stove Top, Cool Whip, marshmallows or mac and cheese. I don’t feed my kids this everyday (which is obvious by my recipe posts) – so please do not leave nasty comments about food choices. I won’t judge you for yours and you shouldn’t judge others, either. I mean that in the nicest possible way.
So are you going to QFC?! I am so excited, this week is a super week to stock-up!
Joni says
Regarding the “buy 5, get $2.50 off” promo, is that an automatic price reduction or a Catalina? I’d like to get some of the Swanson’s broth and a turkey, but if I have to seperate out into sets of 5 for a catalina then I am not sure how that would work. 😛
And I have to buy in sets of 5, right? Not 6 and expecting the same deal on the 6th item…
Heather says
It’s instant savings, no catalina to worry about and you can buy as many as you want in a transaction, just buy in groups of 5.
Cindy says
Thank you!!! I especially LOVE your bit about not judging!! When people find out that I coupon…they immediately start with the …about unhealthy eating. But the jokes on them…I bought 3 bags of mini-marshmellows last month…after coupon and sale at a military grocery store they were about 60 cents for a 1 lb bag :0) Even more awesome…when it was time to volunteer to bring something to my daughter’s school party for halloween…her teacer asked me for minimarshmellows! I donated 2 bags!! By way, I also use my stuffing as bread crumbs or croutons for salads :0) Thanks again for sharing these great deals.

We moved this summer to Illinois and I have to say, there are a lot of things I miss about Washington, but a big one is definitely the Lacey QFC. Great manager specials, great deals and most of all, great people!
Toi says
Thank you for your post. I went to QFC this morning and bought 30 items from this promotion and I got $3 cat from buying Jello-O. I got 4 Jello-O.
Debbie says
We LOVED this deal! We are going back again today as we didn’t realize we didn’t have to do multiple trips to get the $.50 off for more than 5 items at a time! LOL!
Ashley S. says
Im sad that you felt you had to defend your purchases. I think that you post wonderful healthy things all the time and things like chocolate chips and cool whip have so many uses and it is VERY obvious to me that you do NOT feed your children those types of things a lot. So thank you for posting these things and I hope that you will continue your wonderful posts, without getting persecuted.
Ps I don’t have a Qfc close but these deals are so good I might have to go anyways!
Lisa L. says
Agreed! Everything in moderation – I love the meals you post very balanced and yes I have “goodies” in my pantry too.
Thank you for all that you do Heather 🙂
Stacy says
I agree also. Everything in moderation and besides you have young kids. No matter how many healthy things I put on my 2 year olds plate. If I let him he would eat Mac and cheese, cool whip and hot dogs non stop. My doctor just reminds me his nutrition eventually balances out by the end of the month.
Mary says
I don’t even eat Cool Whip but now I’m tempted to go buy it just to make someone crazy. But that’s how I roll
;-D…..OOOOHHH rolls…..maybe I will get some of those too. To go with the mac & cheese.
I’m sincerely glad I am not in charge of what everyone eats. That’s more responsibility than I want to take on. Besides no matter what we do for our families, we will hear on Oprah in twenty years how we screwed it up.
Dyron says
Marshmallows!! <3 that's it, i'm moving in with Heather, she has good food. haha awesome shopping trip and thanks for the heads up on all the awesome deals going on. Thanks Heather, and i LOVE manager's specials, they make my day. 😀
Beth Johnson says
In my dreams “all varieties” of Annie’s Mac n Cheese includes the rice pasta ones. Can it be?
Heather says
Hmm Beth – I don’t think the rice pasta ones. Sorry.
Kathy says
My qfc ad doesn’t have the mac and cheese on sale. Is it not in the ad or is it just not my store?
Heather says
Kathy – It’s not in my ad either, but a lot of these buy 5 promos I listed aren’t in the ad. You should be good! 🙂 Please let me know if you don’t find them on sale at your local QFC, but usually they are the same at all stores.
Zene says
Who would say anything bad about stove top! Its delicious! And just the right time to stock up for thanksgiving! Our family members “doctor” it up by putting other stuff in it. I don’t because I think its awesome all on its own! Pair with some green bean casserole and potatoes…mmm!
Mary says
I just wish I could find the coupons without the Walmart logo. I love this stuff for so many uses. Great tasting breadcrumbs after a trip around the old food processor and so many other things.
Heather says
Mary – the Walmart logo does not PRINT on the coupon. There is no mention of Walmart on the actual coupon, it’s only an add on the preview side of things. 🙂 Promise.
Mary says
Thank you so much for letting me know that. I hated to waste the ink and not be able to use the coupon. I am off to see if it’s still available.
Trina Newman says
Thanks Heather…my daughter also found some great manager’s mark downs this week! Wish we all could see your receipt from QFC!!!
Devin says
I was just there too, surprised I didn’t see you! But now I need to go back:)
Heather says
We must have just missed each other. I went early this morning. It takes me awhile to put together the post after I get home. 🙂
Devin says
I can imagine! Thanks!
Heather J. says
I have a fantastic recipe for the marshmallows, cool whip and eggs! It’s called Frog Eye Salad! DELICIOUS!!!
Heather says
Please tell me more!
Heather J. says
Emailing you the recipe! Great to serve for the holidays too!!
rachel says
You freeze the peppers for later? Is there a receipe for this? Great idea!
Heather says
I don’t think any recipe. Just rinse, pat dry, clean out insides, lay out cookie sheet, freeze, then throw into a freezer bag! They will work for things like fajitas, but I probably wouldn’t take them out and put them on a veggie tray, they won’t stay crunchy (I think).
kate says
You can also cut them into strips and freeze. Then when ready to use just run under cold water to slightly thaw and throw in the pan.
Becky says
I do this all the time!
