I’m so excited to bring back our chicken coop features. Every Saturday I’ll be posting a new chicken coop. I think it’s fun to see all the styles and designs.
This week’s chicken coop is from Newberg, Oregon. Sent in by Karen, this coop is “her dream true!”
Here’s what Karens says about her chicken coop:
My friend’s husband is a carpenter and did the framing. My dad and husband did the roofing and coop. My father-in-law helped with the hardware cloth while my mother-in-law watched my two toddlers.
I painted the whole thing and did the brick work to keep out those pesky critters.
My best friend gave me a coop warming present so my spoiled ladies even have a chandelier.
We have six chickens that we got just last spring. This egg photo is from our first six (6) egg day!”
Thanks for sending in your coop photos Karen! And I love all the photos! Love the red paint and the chandelier! I’ve never seen a chicken coop with a chandelier – what a fun idea. Great job on the brick work, that is a wonderful foundation to keep your chicken safe.
