Rise and Shine is my way of sitting down and having a cup of coffee with you! We talk about the new deals of the day, highlights from yesterday, and anything else that might help us save time, money or energy.
Good morning! How was your weekend? What an amazing day we had yesterday – with temperatures in the high 60s and lots of sunshine. Looks like today will just as spectacular with the rains returning tomorrow.
I was at the NW Family Expo all day Saturday and it was such a pleasure to meet so many of you! Yesterday we got more yard work done (we spend a lot of time in the yard this time of year!). We also got a lot of cleaning done in preparation for going back back to school today.
Tomorrow is tax day. So if you haven’t yet, it might be a good idea to get started on your 2013 tax return!
If you missed it Saturday we shared Week six of our seven-week series on Weddings on a budget focuses on Photography! This Saturday series is written by Rebecca Grant owner of New Creations Wedding Design & Coordination, one of Seattle’s Premiere Wedding Coordinators. She’s filled with a wealth of information and she’s a good friend of mine – so I know you’re in good hands.

Debbie Troop says
Not sure if this is place for this question but need help. If you are going to freeze raw chicken breasts using FoodSaver would you brine prior to freezing or after defrosting?
Anne says
Debbie, I don’t use a Food Saver but I put marinate in Ziplocks with raw chicken for a quick freezer meal. As it thaws, it marinades. I assume it would work the same with a Food Saver, but I could definitely be wrong! 🙂
