Good morning!
Yesterday I stopped into Costco and scoped out the yard and garden deals. I love their garden gloves and flats of flowers. Do you have favorite yard or house deals at Costco? You have about a week to use coupons in the Costco February coupon book. And shhhh, don’t tell anyone, but we are updating the Costco price list! We should launch the updated list very soon. 🙂
February is just flying by. I haven’t forgotten I owe you an update on my Clutter to Clean series. I hope to take some photos and do some updates later today or tomorrow. The current status is that all the clutter is gone, I just need to organize. Today we are working on organizing the kids rooms – this was extended because we needed to get some furniture/storage solutions, which I’ll share more about soon.
- Clutter to Clean introduction
- Day 1 (Monday) – Hall closets, the pantry and the bathrooms.
- Day 2 (Tuesday) – Bedroom closet and dresser
- Day 3 (Wednesday) – Kitchen, half bathroom and laundry area
- Day 4 (Thursday) – Kid room #1, Kid room #2, living room – DONE
- Day 5 (Friday) – Shed, office area – DONE
- Day 6 (Saturday) – Build shelves, clean garage, load to the dump/thrift shop – DONE
- ORGANIZE clutter-free areas! – Working on a few last areas!
And for my rise and shine readers – I’m bursting at the seams to share my March theme. After spending most of February de-cluttering and cleaning, March will be Memory March. My goals for March are going to be getting all those digital photos OFF my camera and computer and getting them into scrapbooks and frames. I still need to do my kid’s baby books (gasp! 5- and 2-yrs old) and even a book of our wedding (double gasp! 9 years ago). I also plan to get some photos framed and up on the walls, which I’m really bad about doing. If I don’t make this a priority, it won’t get done. So March is going to be all about the memories. Are you with me? Do you scrapbook? Do you have baby books for your babies?
New design tweaks – We asked, you shared your feedback, and we listened! We added a border color along the edges of the page so that it was easier on the eyes. And we updated the font and messed with the spacing again. What do you think? Easier to read? I hope so. I want the site to feel like your favorite pair of jeans – comfortable, easy, reliable, and your favorite thing to “put on” every day. 🙂
Head over and enter to win a one-night stay at Skamania Lodge, with breakfast for two. Valued at $325, this is a fun prize. I shared about our trip and about the lodge, which is one of my favorite places to stay.
COUPONS
Check out our new printable coupon page! You can find it under Coupons –> Print Coupons. We really like it because you can easily change the zip code and you can sort by category AND brand. I recommend bookmarking this page and when you hear about a Coupons.com coupon that you can’t find, try finding it here! I love that it tells me how many coupons I’ve clipped, so I can clip in groups of three (3), since they print three (3) to a page.
I recommend printing all the coupons you might want for the Albertsons round-up. Those normally low value coupons, like $0.30/1, round-up to $1 and can be some great savings! Head over here to see the latest coupons.
RECIPES & MEAL PLANNING

I am a huge scrapbooker and love creating albums for my family! Will you be scrapbooking digitally or the traditional way? I like to scrapbook and I like to paper craft so that is how I scrapbook, but for anyone that is just starting or doesn’t like paper crafting I would highly recommend digital scrapbooking. It is easy to get out if you only have a short period of time to work and there is nothing to clean up so you can still work even with little kids around.

I’m totally with you for your Memory March series! I don’t currently scrapbook, but the SMASH folios look intriguing. Project Life is a big craze too for memory keeping.

I love the Memory March idea! I have several photos waiting for the next Snapfish penny prints sale 🙂 I have a traditional baby book for my son (almost 5) and nothing for my girl (16 mos). I really would like to do a photo memory book for each of them for their first year.

I at least got my wedding album done from 6 years ago. But I had hopes to get photos of our honeymoon in a scrape book. I took all these great shots and had visions of a great scrapbook but have not completed. Now my son is 2 1/2 and I look at the like 5,000 photos of him thinking I need to make his scrapbook a priority as well. I have 5 photos of him I have got developed in all these last few years.

Memory March: Heather, I married into a family that has saved photographs, letters, etc. 5 generations back. We have very old photos, and letters written in German and Swedish. We have boxes and boxes of them. While we have hung a few photos on our walls and created several photo albums, it is my hope to digitize them. We simply cannot lug around so many boxes. Of course I cherish them, but I never considered the “weight” of taking so many photos of my kids as they were growing.
