I couldn’t get the FREE pasta because unfortunately my papers didn’t come this last weekend, so I didn’t have any of the Golden Grain coupons I needed! Such a bummer. I was out of town, so I couldn’t even call and tell them to deliver. 🙁
I didn’t even end up buying any of these deals, but I did get $0.49/lb bananas (personalized deal), Fresh Express Salad kits $3.29 – $2 coupon from produce book (final price $1.29), Bartlett pears $0.89/lb (personalized deal) and apparently my broccoli just for U price didn’t come off (was supposed to be $0.99/lb, but I paid $1.79/lb!). Guess I’ll need to call them.
Find other Safeway deals here. What deals are you finding in Safeway?

My same personalized Just -U $.99/lb broccoli didn’t come of either. FYI!

The golden grain coupons state one coupon per person.

The first time I had the chipotle peppers in adobo sauce was down in Mexico and I bought them thinking they were something else… WOW were we surprised!
They are super yummy, but very hot 🙂 1 can will go a long way. I make a crock pot flank that is shredded (at the end) and used in pita bread tacos. I use 2 peppers per recipe and 1 can will make 4 freezer meals. I’ll try and dig up the source for the recipe and post it…

I wanted to add that I have tried the Tai Pei and they are very good and relatively healthy. You can also find $1.00 off coupons from the Catalina machine at Fred Meyer. I have been stocking up for my lunch at work as they are $1 each with coupon until 11/02/13.

The Tai Pei meals are pretty good. Plenty of food. The Spicy General Tso is somewhat spicy.

I do buy the chipotle chilis in adobo sauce. That’s a really good price for them! I make Pork & Pumpkin Chili and it is HOT and delicious! The recipe can be found here: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/pork-and-pumpkin-chili-recipe/index.html

For the Chipotle peppers I make a shepherds pie using sweet potatoes on top and I mix in a bit of the chopped up pepper and a bit of the adobo sauce to it. It’s a wonderful smokey/spicy flavor to go with the sweetness. YUM! 🙂
Heather Clarke says
Oooh that sounds delicious! Is this a good deal for these?

the Tai Pei meals are amazing. My 15 year old daughter gushes over the fried rice and orange chicken. I was lucky enough to get them free at one time, But I’d gladly pay full price and $1 is a steal
