Fire up your printer! There are a ton of printable coupons available right now.
Now don’t go printing these coupons in high-definition color on fancy paper – because that costs money! I print my coupons on an old laser printer, on the draft setting (lowest possible) on the cheapest paper I can find. As long as they are legible and scannable – you shouldn’t have a problem. I even print my coupons on the back side of scratch paper.
Also, don’t print them if you don’t need them. And, finally, never copy or reproduce coupons. Each printable coupon has a unique code that can be tracked back to your ISP – so they can’t (and shouldn’t) be reproduced and copied.

Albertsons – Watch your receipt for $2 coupons!
I posted about this back in June, but wanted to remind you to check the bottom of your Albertsons receipts for a survey offer! They are easy to spot because they have a bar code. All you have to do is call the phone number on the receipt and answer a few questions. You’ll get a validation code to enter on your receipt and it becomes a $2 coupon! You can use it for anything in the store! I love it.
I’ve heard rumor that these are printing more often than usual this week – so your chances of getting one are pretty good. For example, I did four transactions this week and received two surveys!

Thurston County Fair – $1 Wednesday, plus other money-saving tips

Tomorrow, August 4, is opening day of the Thurston County Fair and it’s also one-buck Wednesday!. That means you can get into the fair for only $1 with a non-perishable donation. At least one donation per person. The food benefits the Thuston County Food banks. Admission to the fair is as high as $7 for an adult – so this is a big discount!
Saving on beer and wine with rebates
The high cost of beer, wine and alcohol can really take a gulp out of your monthly grocery budget. You’re not going to find any alcohol coupons, at least not in Washington, but you can save on these items when you take advantage of rebates.
My husband prefers the “micro-brew” beers and although we buy it rarely and only when it’s on sale, these can be expensive splurges on our grocery bill, so we take advantage of rebates like this Redhook one when we can.
I found this form at the local Albertsons, but I’ve seen it at various other stores as well. It has five options for $5 refunds on beef, chicken, seafood, spices and pasta when you purchase Redhook beer. I think you can do each rebate per household.
