Went to Target today to scope out the clearance situation for you all and I have some updates! Baby clothes/bibs finally went down to 75% – so I picked up some super cute items priced as low as $1.49 for future baby showers. I stock up on these type of items when they are super cheap and store them in a bin in the closet labeled “baby gifts” and it comes in super handy for shower gifts!
Here’s what else I spotted:
C9 Champion Fleece zip jackets – $3.74
TONS of kid’s clearance – mostly 30% off. I’ll be waiting for 75% off.
Fisher Price kids bouncer $17.98 (50% off). They also had some exersaucers for 50% off – $39.95. The baby gear/equipment is harder to spot on clearance because they don’t usually move it to an end cap. you have to watch for the red tags. Look for peelie coupons for $5 off any Fisher Price baby gear item $19.95 or more!
SUPER HOT deal on Dyson vacuums – $224, regular price was $448. This is a HOT deal on something that rarely goes on sale. This is a lot to spend on a vacuum but I can tell you that they retain their value (look at Craigslist) and they have great customer service. I splurged on one when we bought our house this last winter and I had a problem with the brush and I called (someone actually answered!) and they had it fixed over the phone in minutes.
Sunbeam hand and stand mixer – only $12.48 (reg. $49.99). They also had huge Kitchen Aid pan sets on clearance 50% off – on sale for $75.99.
30% off select Hello Kitty stuff. They had a gumball machine, blow dryer and water cooler. I’d bet these will make it to 50% off.
Still only 30% off on Christmas-colored storage bins. I can’t believe they haven’t marked these down more.
Scrubbing Bubbles Sprayer – $5.94
Use $5/1 coupon from 1/9 Smart Source insert
Use $0.50/1 Target coupon
Final price = $0.44 cents!
PLEASE REMEMBER – Every Target has different clearance, there is NO guarantee that you’ll find these same items on clearance at your store. I post these deals to help you look for clearance deals, but I don’t recommend making a special trip to the store for these items – you could be disappointed. I always say – expect they won’t be there and if they are – it’s a bonus!
Don’t miss an inside scoop on Target clearance – sign up for my FREE daily newsletter, and follow me on Facebook or Twitter! The Target toy clearance was announced early in the morning on the Queen Bee Facebook page – it’s a great place to get a heads up on things.
Let me know what you’re finding and I’ll post about it!

@Stacy, funny – I had the opposite problem, lol … I guess hubby and I just have tiny babies, son was 6 pds 12 oz, daughter was 6 pds, 14 oz, neither were preemie (PTL)… When our son arrived, I actually had to scramble to go out and buy MORE newborn clothes since I only had very few things, assuming I would have at least an 8 pound baby (both hubs and were very near 8 pds at birth), as well as having to go out and buy newborn diapers … So you never know … and hey, you can always spend those BRU bucks on more dipes and wipes, there’s practically no such thing as too much in that category 🙂

Thanks for all the advice!

Don’t worry Tiffany it is never to early. We started 2 months before our first. Like Celia says you never know we lost the baby 2 months in. Didn’t stop us. We kept buying we now have a beautiful healthy baby boy. Don’t concentrate on the negatives enjoy your pregnancy. One thing to focus on is don’t get to much newborn. My son was born 10.9lbs when he was supposed to be 8 lbs. He never used any of the newborn stuff we got him. Start with 0-3 and do your stockpile. Also start stockpiling on size 1 and up diapers. My husband and I loaded up at baby consignment sales and clearance deals. Now with what every one has given us our baby is set with toys and clothes till he is 5 and he is currently 5 months old. I just received $19 in babies r us money and my husband and I are just wondering what to spend it on. We have so much already that we are trying to find some small things to use these up. So no never to early just get neutral. When you find out the sex of the baby is when the fun starts and you can get all the gender stuff you want.

@ Tiffany it’s hard not to buy stuff, but I wouldn’t until the baby is born. It might sound drastic, but you never know what could happen and to be stuck with a nursery and clothes, it is extremely sad with no baby. Just my advice.
Also, was this the Lacey store? West Side had no clearance for baby items. I did find some cute 5t and small boys clothes for $1.75 tho!

I am pregnant due July 20th! These deals sound awesome but is it too early for me to buy stuff for the baby?
Dana says
Now would be a perfect time to pick up some of those baby items!

Tiffany,
Def. not:)
I began to purchase diapers and wipes before I had my baby girl!
I also took advantage of clearance deals like the one mentioned here so I could get clothing at bargain prices. Considering babies out grow their clothes so quick there is no need to spend so much.
Blessings to you and your baby!!!

It’s not too early! You will save so much money when you get them now. I can’t believe the baby deals out now. I had a baby last July. I’m stocking up for next year. She’s in 6 months clothes. I would get that or one size bigger. I waited for things to be 75% off.

I didn’t pick it up Celia. Now I’m thinking I should have!
