This is your reminder that this is still available!
Do you want to bring home the bacon? Good bacon? You can get good quality bacon for only $3.29 a pound from Zaycon Foods! They just opened up bacon (and ham) sales in the Northwest!
I have personally ordered bacon before (last December) and it was worth every penny. It does come in a 30 pound box for $98.70, but I just freezer packed mine into one – to two-pound packages and we used it for meals for close to 8 months. It’s a really good quality bacon, not like the Farmland stuff you buy at the grocery store for $3.50 per 12 oz, or whatever it is. When we ran out, I only bought bacon if I absolutely needed it for a recipe, otherwise we did without – so my darling husband and kids will be excited to get some bacon again!
From the Zaycon website –
This bacon has had the same award winning cure since 1959, cured for a minimum of 24 hours, and hickory smoked for at least 7.5 hours, the smoking process includes only actual hardwood chips burned in the stocker, this creates the color and flavor that makes this cure so special, in addition to color and taste our bacon has been carefully hand trimmed from each belly for consistent sizing.
They are also selling Carve Master Boneless Smoked Ham: Moist & Tender Naturally Applewood Smoked Ham for $3.29/lb and that comes in a 20 pound package for $65.80. I’ve never ordered their ham before – but I have been so happy with the chicken, beef and bacon that I would bet the ham is top notch, too.
It is weird buying meat off a truck. I’ll be the first to admit it, but I’ve been a happy customer for nearly 2 years now and know I’ve heard a lot of good feedback from readers. Good Morning America featured them last week!
I recommend registering with Zaycon Foods if you haven’t done so yet. It’s FREE to create an account and you can see all the upcoming events and sales. I’ve been a Zaycon customer now for more than a year – and I have always had the best experiences. You can read my original Zaycon review here – the chicken is awesome and I ordered bacon last time, too, and it did not disappoint! Also read my post on how to prepare for your Zaycon chicken here.
If you have ordered from Zaycon before – leave a comment to others can hear first hand what to expect!

I noted that Costco bacon is $2.96 per pound. Does anyone know if this bacon is better than Costco’s? Thanks 🙂

I bought chicken for the first time and have been thrilled. The pick up process was so organized it was great. And the taste of the chicken is really excellent.

I just ordered the bacon and ham. I’m not sure they’ve carried the ham before. I got a “would you be interested in ham” survey a couple months back which made me wonder if it’s a new item for them.
I’ve ordered several times before and have always been pleased with the product. I’ve had the bacon, hamburger, chicken, and salmon.
And the drivers I’ve encountered on the Olympia route are so nice!

I was just wondering about the ham as well. I was thinking about getting it but would love to know if someone has tried it before 🙂
