Albertsons – Deals for week of Aug. 25, with DOUBLER deals!

I’m moving this up because I went to Albertsons this morning and found a bunch more DOUBLER deals! It’s an exciting week at Albertsons with a rockin’ Quaker sale and the rumor of doublers coming on Sunday! There are a TON of free-bees with doublers this week. . .

QUAKER SALE – $1.60 each
Buy five items, use manufacturer coupon in ad for $3/5 to pay only $1 each.
I’m guessing that most stores will sell out of Quaker products this week because this is such a good deal. If you go to the store and they don’t have what you want in stock, ask for a rain check (at customer service or when you check-out). They will give you a rain check for the $1.60 price. The in-ad manufacturer’s coupon for $3/5 is good through October 17, 2010 – so hold on to those coupons for when they get more product in.

Oatmeal pancake mix

Chewy Granola bars
Buy two for $3.20
DOUBLE $1/2 Quaker Chewy Granola bars coupon from 7/25 Red Plum
Final price = 2 for $1.20 or $0.60 cents a box

Cap’N Crunch cereal
DOUBLE $0.50/1 coupon from 5/16 Red Plum insert
Final price = $0.60 cents each

Life cereal

True Delights Granola bars

Oatmeal Squares cereal
If you still have those $1/1 tear pad coupons that I told you about back in July, use these to pay only $0.60 cents a box! There were also $1/1 coupons inside boxes of Quaker oatmeal a while back.
PLUS – if you happen to have these tear pad coupons I told you about, you can get a FREE Tropicana Pure Premium orange juice for every three Quaker cold cereals you buy!

I’ve been holding on to these coupons and I plan to do this transaction:

Buy three Oatmeal Squares cereals @ $1.60 each = $4.80
Use three (3) Oatmeal Square $1/1 coupons
Pay $1.80 out of pocket
PLUS, get a FREE Tropicana Orange Juice
If you buy Tropicana orange juice you should check out their awesome Tropicana Juicy Rewards program!

or if I can wait until this Sunday when doubler coupons come out:

Buy three Oatmeal Squares cereals @ $1.60 each = $4.80
Use three (3) Oatmeal Square $1/1 coupons
Use three DOUBLERS – Now these will double to $2 and the cereal is only $1.60, so if your cashier doesn’t adjust the coupon down, you’ll need other items in your order to absorb the extra $1.20 that will come off.
Final price = FREE!
PLUS, get a FREE Tropicana Orange Juice
If you buy Tropicana orange juice you should check out their awesome Tropicana Juicy Rewards program!

Quaker oatmeal NOTE – it’s not listed in ad as being part of sale, but if it is you could do this. . .
Use $1/1 coupon for Quaker Instant Oatmeal from this upcoming 8/29 Red Plum insert
Final price = $0.60 cents each
DOUBLE $1/1 coupon for Quaker Instant Oatmeal from this upcoming 8/29 Red Plum insert

  1. from the 8/29 insert

barilla piccolini pasta – overage with $0.75 cpn and doublers. some varieties are 1.19

barilla whole grain pasta – $1.69 – use $0.75 and doubler, and pay $0.19 for a box

  2. When you double items like the kens salad dressing for example that is $1.25 would you expect to get the full doubler amount or are the checkers required to only give you up to the amount of the item? Also my checker didn’t scan a peelie that was on an item because she said I already had a manufacterer coupon is this correct, shouldn’t I be able to use a coupon and a peelie? And she did ring up my hot dogs but she said that next time I shoudn’t be able to because of the penny difference I still had a $13 total so it wasn’t that I was trying for a zero balance. Am I commiting coupon fruad as she said and could she lose her job by me trying to have her ring up my groceries that way?

    • Hi Steph,

With something like the Ken’s dressings, they can double your coupon up 25 cents – so you get it FREE, but don’t get overage. That’s the right way to do it. You shouldn’t really get overage from your coupons, but every cashier is different in how they do it.

As for a peelie – that is a manufacturer coupon (unless it’s at Target, they sometimes have Target store peelies), so you’d only be able to use one peelie OR the manufacturer coupon that you had – your cashier was right.

I bought the hot dogs and I just had them price adjust the coupon down to $1.99 and it worked fine. Sometimes the computer will beep if you’ve gone over just a penny. So they can change the value of the coupon to the same price of the product to prevent any beeps or problems.

You didn’t do anything wrong, the cashier should know these things and can easily change the value of the coupon if they are concerned about you getting overage.

Hope this information is helpful! Keep couponing!

      • It is helpful! Thank you! I would have been totally cool with everything she did and not given it another thought had it not been for her being rude and making a scene, again thank you!

  3. Ken’s salad dressing is only 1 dollar at the Olympia Albertson, so it would be free even without doubler. Oh and I did not find the coupon for oatmeal in the redplum:(

  4. Maybe I’m not understanding – Can you use a manufacturer’s coupon on top of the $3 off 5 manufacturer’s coupon?

    • Good question! You would NOT be able to use another manufacturer coupon on TOP of the $3/5 manufacturer’s coupon that is in the ad. However, if you have a manufacturer coupon that is a higher value than the $3/5 you can use that in replace of it. For example, I had $1/1 manufacturer coupons, so it makes sense for me to use those. Also $1 coupons can be doubled, but a $3/5 coupon cannot.

      Hope this information is helpful!

  5. Thanks for the matchups! There are for sure doublers coming on Sunday- my store was passing them out last night.
