National Consumer Panel accepting new members

The National Consumer Panel is a program where you provide feedback on your shopping trips (by scanning your purchases with a scanner they send you) and you earn small prizes or rewards. They are accepting new members and you can apply here! They usually look for specific demographics – so you may not everyone is accepted that applies – but if you’re interested it can’t hurt to apply.

I’ve heard both good and bad things about this program. Some people LOVE it and have enjoyed the rewards they received. Others thought it was too much work for too little reward. I recommend trying it out and you can always return the scanner and stop the program if you find it’s not for you.

You can apply here!

  1. Anyone thinking about joining. Here some details to help your decision.

I have just been accepted and I’m sending my scanner back. It is lots of work. You have to:

    Enter who shopped
    Enter the store
    Scan the barcode
    Enter the quantity
Enter how much the item was
Enter if you used a coupon and how much the coupon was
Enter the total amount spent at for the store

If it was just scanning the barcodes, it would be easy, but it’s not! I got 1000 points just for signing up, but the first gifts are at 9000-11000 points. I guessed it would take months to reach that level.
