My daughter and I go thrift shopping every Sunday. It’s our excuse to hang out and get fancy coffees (hot cocoa). It’s a time we set aside for time together and it’s something we both look forward to each week. In terms of thrift shopping – we find treasures some Sundays and other times we don’t find anything worthwhile.
Yesterday we seemed to hit the jackpot! In fact, I ended up having to call Mr. Queen Bee and have him bring the truck because it wouldn’t all fit in our Subaru wagon.
Pictured above is my favorite find! It’s a sturdy wooden armoire painted with a light yellow chalk paint. It was priced at $34.99 and I used a 20% off coupon to get it for $27.99. My local Goodwill gives me 20% off coupons for each donation we bring in! What a steal. I put it in my dining room to manage the school papers my kids bring home and to minimize the clutter on my counters.
This awesome sturdy wood bench was priced at just $7.99. It’s a pretty birch color and looked brand new. I put it in my son’s room next to his bed for LEGO creation storage. It would be great in an entryway with bins for shoes, too!
This HUGE unfinished wooden mirror was also just $7.99! When we move to our new house I’m going to paint it and either put it in the LuLaRoe shop or in my bedroom! I think it’s beautiful and I couldn’t believe the price!
This Scentsy warmer was just $3.99! I love the pottery look and these generally run $40 to $50 brand new.
This photo doesn’t do this glass bowl justice! It’s a Dansk glass bowl with colorful textured dots on the bottom. Perfect as a salad bowl it was just $2.99. This was probably $40 to $60 new!
And finally I got this brand new bookshelf for $39.99. It apparently was a new item from Target (who donates a lot of new products to Goodwill) and the Goodwill crew had assembled it. It apparently is $100+ at Target. I love that it was already assembled and more than half the price. It goes perfectly along the back of our couch.
That’s a sample of things we found thrift shopping yesterday! Have you found any secondhand deals lately?
