I stopped into the Lacey QFC this afternoon to pick up a few more things and an Advanced Edition of the Seattle Times (so I can get a head start on posting deals for you). I saw the store manager and he said they’ve been busy (are we surprised?). He told me some success stories of people literally saving hundreds this week – so if that’s you – way to go! He said they have bags of coupons that have been redeemed. . .good for you! All of this business is a good thing for them because they of course get reimbursed by the manufacturer for the coupons we use and they are moving product out the door – so it’s a win-win for all of us. I’m just down right giddy about it all. Check out my original post for a rundown of the deals.
Lots in stock! They have done some serious behind-the-scenes work to keep that store well stocked, in fact they had everything in stock that I was looking for. So if you are debating on whether or not to go – I say go, the shelves are looking pretty stocked and they have extra displays throughout the store with product. Kudos to the manager for keeping it filled up for us!
Your customer service kudos were appreciated! Thanks to everyone who posted comments on my original QFC blog post with kinds words about the people who work at the Lacey QFC. I think too often people only share negative experiences, not the positive ones. You’ll be happy to know that the a QFC employee printed out my blog and all your nice comments and put it in the break room! Plus they forwarded on your compliments to corporate – so we’ve got QFC love going all around. I love it.
Did you score big at QFC this week? I want to hear! Send me a brief description of how much your spent and how much you saved, and a picture, and I’m going to randomly pick a winner to get a $10 QFC gift card! I have already received a handful of entries and it makes me smile to see all these savings. Check out this post for more info on the giveaway.
Now onto the gravy. . . I picked up some Heinz Home Style Roasted Turkey gravy today and on the label it says “Save $1 on your next purchase” – on the back of the label is a coupon for $1/2 Heinz HomeStyle Beef or Chicken Gravy (not turkey), see picture above. So if you pick up some of the turkey gravy you can turn around and use the coupon to get some FREE beef or chicken gravy.Ā But note – you will have to remove the label from the gravy to get the coupon – so if you aren’t going to use it right away, make sure and mark on it what it is, so you don’t forget. And don’t donate unlabeled mystery jars to the food bank, k?
Four more days of QFC goodness. . .and I hear rumor that there will be a great paper product deal next week (Is that vague enough for you? I really don’t know any more than that.) . . . so stay tuned.

I made it to QFC today – the last day of the sale- and found all the employees there VERY busy & VERY helpful. I spent $48.42 & saved $105.87. I could’ve done a bit better if I was more organized, but I was pleased with my trip & the lady behind me even clapped when she heard how much I saved! They were running out of a lot of things, but they were great about rainchecks, so no worries. Thanks Heather!

I was just mentioning the free gravy to Angela. I should have known one of you gals had it up already!
It was pointed out to me by a fellow couponer, and she had been given the o.k. to use the label coupon on the turkey gravy! I wasn’t going to stand and peel, so I used my 1/3 ips on the turkey gravy and picked up a rain check to get some free beef. The Parkland/Spanaway store was cleared out of tons of stuff, but do look around-I found the gravy and cream soups at free standing displays, even though the shelves were clear. Also, if you’re a new couponer: Don’t get frustrated-get rainchecks! QFC has great cs, and they will be glad to do this for you! I am so appreciate of these match-ups this week, Heather.

by the way i found it an added bonus that the bottom of my reciept says I have 219 fuel points and for every 100 I can use it to get a discount on gas. havent checked their gas prices yet but I always feel like there should be coupons for gas so I am super excited that by using coupons I earned one!

I have been dying to share my pictures but the computer is fighting with me so i switched to mine which loaded the pictures fine but will not load hotmail or yahoo so no pictures for now but I got 104 items all but 4 were part of the promo… spent 85.84 of my food stamps for the month and 98 cents aside from that… saved 233.42 total savings! and went home with way more than I have the last two months at costco and still have food money leftover for this month! Thanks for helping my dollar stretch. I used the green giant valley steamers coupons from the safeway book as these are part of the promo too! those safeway books I am glad I picked up a couple every time I saw them at safeway when I was running around before! I stocked up on smart ones and veggies to help me lose the pregnancy weight and I got home and ended up defrosting my upright freezer so I could reorganize it! Its packed full and looking tasty! You make eating on a budget fun!

My husband is the lead night stocker at the Lacey QFC and he says they have been super busy. If you are there super early in the morning before the night crew leaves make sure you thank them if you see them stocking shelves, it’s because of their hard work and great ordering that the shelves are staying stocked for this great sale. š
Also we’ve saved a total of about $100 so far on this sale just from him picking up some things before he heads home in the morning. I plan to go do my major shop sometime Tuesday afternoon. š Great site!

Oh and my hubs was the one that printed out the comments you have here also. Made him and his guys feel great that their work was being appreciated by the public. š

i picked up my advance copy of the seattle times today, too, but i grab mine from a branch of the king county library system for free. they have copies near the entrance that are up for grabs. i’ve been to two different libraries on saturdays, and both give out advance copies. however, it may cost more in gas to come from lacey all the way to the eastside. also, if you do end up coming up to the eastside, you might want to pick up a free copy of the bellevue reporter. it’s one of those free weekly local newspapers, but it has rp and ss inserts. i grab my copy at the bellevue transit center, but i’m sure there’s tons of free pickup locations.

My sister Audrie and I just went yesterday afternoon to the Lacey store as a result of finding your blog and realizing your local! (we are in eastside Olympia) and I am happy to hear they are stocked again! When we went there were no Del Monte tomatoes, CHICKEN Heinz gravy, Hungary man, sour cream, Cap’n Crunch BERRIES or chicken Imagine Organics broth, so I was a little bummed. Our cashier was awesome, but everyone else seemed a bit distracted. It was disappointing since it was our first time there and we were sooo hyped up, but no fear we will be back to try again! My sister saved like $152! We blogged about our fun here: http://audderpopsshopping.blogspot.com/

Ha ha! That is so funny how fast those Crunch Berries go! And that goes for every store that puts them on sale – It’s a popular one!!!
