Whew, it’s a BIG week at QFC. IĀ just left with a cart full of groceries for $35.85 and I saved $172.18! It wasn’t the smoothest shopping trip in the world – my 3-year-old was wild and the baby started crying midway through, so by the time I finally made it to the checkout my blood pressure was a little high, I was covered in spit up, I was holding the baby and my 3-year-old was so ready to go. . . but what can you do – it’s my world (a world I’m grateful for BTW, even when it’s stressful). š
My total actually should have actually been under $30, but I got home and realized I accidentally grabbed two Kroger brand gravies instead of all Heinz, so they were $1.87 (not $0.50 cents) and I didn’t get my $5 off. Don’t you hate it when this happens? I wasn’t paying attention when I checked out, so I didn’t catch it before I left, but I still got some awesome deals! Check my deal match-ups to see how to get these items for cheap!
I bought this all in one transaction – the $5 comes off for every 10 items you buy!
Start your Thanksgiving meal shopping now! If you know you will use chicken/beef broth, buy it now, when you can get the Imagine broth for $0.49 cents a carton! Or the gravy is only $0.16 cents each – buy it now so you don’t end up paying $3 later.
Prices like this = share the love! I plan to go back later this week and buy some additional items for the food bank. Things like the gravy, tomatoes and chicken broth are staples that other people can really use – so if you can, pick up a few extras. I’m working on a “giving event” so stay tuned!
So I was thrilled to see the Lacey store had tons of stock on hand – so you shouldn’t have any problem getting the deals you want (hopefully your stores will be well stocked too). I talked to the Lacey store manager who was super nice and I’m going to start e-mailing him my deal match-ups so he can try and order the stuff that we’ll all be going out to buy.
Amazing customer service! I just have to say – the Lacey QFC store has the best customer service, have you noticed? The cashiers are always super coupon-friendly and they act genuinely happy for you that you are saving money using coupons!Ā Today as I was holding my crying baby and trying to count out the items in my cart (to make sure I was buying in groups of 10), an employee from the deli department came over to help and she even washed off my son’s water bottle that he dropped on the ground! Then the manager helped me push my cart to my car and unloaded my groceries for me! I felt so grateful.
Giveaway! Win a $10 QFC gift card! If you go to QFC this week, send me a picture of your deals with a brief description of how much you saved! I will do a post with all of them and I’ll randomly select one of the “submissions” to receive a $10 QFC card. E-mail your deal to heather @ queenbeetoday.com. I’ll pick the winner next Wednesday, November 10.

I’ve been to QFC yesterday and today and both trips were brilliant! All items were in stock too! I took a picture of yesterdays trip—my husband was amazed at the bargains! I am so thankful for your blog and the scenarios! Yesterday I spent $63.30 for 159 items and saved 83% and today I spent $49.13 for 129 items and saved 76 percent! I am so ready for the holidays thanks to your blog and all the helpful tips from readers! Lacey QFC rocks! š

I went into QFC in Lacey on Saturday morning and the store manager, Tim, was so kind and helpful that I told him I was going to post a comment about him on the blog!! He pointed out numerous things around the store that he saw me looking at and then came to me while I was in line and told me he would ring up my groceries. I warned him that I was a new couponer and I was going to be a pain but he said he was ready. He rang up everything, printed my receipt, counted all the ten/ten items to make sure I had enough and didn’t miss by one, set me up with a QFC card, then rang everything through, including a new catalina that printed while he was checking the groceries!! My first total was $257 and some change after all the store deals and coupons, it was $75 and change!!!!! I was on a serious high for a long time lol. I know this is long but I was sooooo excited. Thank you to all the bloggers who are helping me out and to Tim at QFC…you have a new loyal customer!!!

Thanks to the Lacey Night Crew for making sure all these great deals were kept ordered and stocked. Hubs stopped there for snackage and walked out with about $100 worth of snack foods for only about $20! Now I have stuff for lunches for a month at least snack food and hot chocolate wise! š Needless to say I was very happy AFTER he told me what it all cost. Hubs just told me about your website and after looking around I am excited to use it to the fullest.

Hi Kelsey – any combination of any of the items in the promo. Essentially it is $0.50 off each item for every 10 items purchased from the list. It is a very easy to do, esp. if you do your homework: I printed Heather’s awesome list, highlighted the ones I wanted, printed/pulled out the coupons needed, and made notes next to each item I want such as “x3 = 6” which meant I had 3 coupons (i.e. $0.50 off 2) for 6 items. Knowing how many of each item I needed to grab really helped me get in and out quickly last night. I spent $20.93, and saved $120.25 (85% savings). Thanks, Heather, and picture on the way! š

I need clarification, can you buy any of the items on this special (buy 10 get $5 off) or do you have to buy 10 of the $1.00 items, 10 of the $1.50 items, 10 of the $1.25 items, etc? Meaning, could I buy (3) $1 items, (3) $1.50 items and (4) $1.25 items and still get $5.00 off?? THANKS!!
chip says
It is 10 items regardless of the price so you can mix and match to meet your needs as long as you end up with multiples of 10…you could get something like 6 gravy, 3 Pringles and 1 hot chocolate…this would trigger the $5 off.

DId anyone else have an issue using their $2 Hungry Man Coupon b/c the deal is $1.99 and it is one cent less than the coupon? My QFC is VERY anal about things like that and they will NOT adjust coupons accordingly. Kinda a bummer, but I still got some good deals! Thanks, Heather for putting this together!
Jennifer says
I had no problem using it at all! My QFC seems pretty lax.
Brenda says
I was worried about this too, but none of my coupons beeped. The $5.00 comes off at the end of your transaction, so the Hungry Man dinner will scan at $2.49 and you should have no problem using your $2.00 coupon on it.

Heather~ I agree that the Lacey QFC store is a pleasure to shop at. I have never had a problem there and the checkers are all very nice. I am glad that they have LOTS of stock as I definitely want to take advantage of this sale (and my $5/$50 coupons from the Entertainment Book). Now I just need to find some freezer space!
Jennifer says
I had an awesome trip yesterday! I spent $25.77 and saved $166.06. I’ll send my pic tomorrow…forgot my phone at home today. I used the exact same approach as Mimi! I was able to use my $5/$50 from the Entertainment Book even though the total after coupons was less than $50.

I totally agree. Today was the first time I’d been into a QFC and I went to the Lacey store and had a great time. Very friendly (with coupons and small children)& helpful staff and a well organized store. Spent $30 saved $110… would’ve done better but bought my hubby some specialty beer he likes.

Thanks for the info. all!
Maygan, that’s brilliant!

If you’re going to be buying lots of items for a deal like this, it helps to bring along your reusable bags and set them up in your cart- then you can load each set of 10 items into each bag- elimanting the need to count and recount where you’re at. Putting any grocery items you need that aren’t participating outside the bags in your cart also helps to keep you from counting wrong. Even better, QFC gives you a $.05 bag credit (deducted from your bill or it can be donated).
Heather says
Maygan – that is a brilliant idea! I will be doing that next time. I was a wreck trying to count out my items, after the fact. š

Me too! My cashier said oh you didn’t have to do that. The register automatically does it. I was so impressed with the customer service at my QFC in Parkland. I will be a regular shopper there š I forgot to take a picture of my great deals before putting away, but I saved about the same as you Heather. I also did shopping for a single mom with mental issues that cant shop within her allotted amount. I was very excited to share with her the amazing deal we got. and she only spent $32 for $155 worth. That would hve been her whole budget for the month.

new to your site so i’m curious what store is Qfc? sounds like kentucky fried chicken to me-even though one starts with a q not k. :}
Heather says
You can buy as many items as you’d like – as long as they are in groups of 10. š
Jennifer says
I called the Kent QFC and they confirmed that I can buy as many multiples of 10 as I want in a single transaction and get $5 off each time!
Heather Jandusay says
I believe that as long as you buy groups of ten, you can do them all in one transaction.
Maegen says
Hey, Heather,
So, just to confirm-I can buy 20 items in one transaction?
There isn’t a QFC near me, but this looks like a week worth a trip.
Also, I’m glad to know it’s not just me who has stressful shopping trips with my kids. My son was having a full on fit at QFC one day, and a spare checker came over to entertain him and give him stickers. I really would shop there constantly if I could!
Seattle says
Does anyone know if you have to do 1 transaction at a time to get the $5 off, or can I do 20 items at once and still get $10 off? Thanks!
