Update – The Cracker Jack deal worked for me this morning at 7:58 a.m. PST (see photo of my receipt below). But I’m getting reports over on the Queen Bee Facebook page that this deal is NOT working for any of you. I wonder if the computers reset at 8 a.m. PST? I’m so sorry that you tried the deal and it didn’t work for you. You can still get $0.50 Cantaloupes!
Original post:
I just got back from an early morning trip to Safeway and I have some deals for you! And the best part is – these are EASY deals. Cracker Jack (3-packs) are FREE when you buy three of them.
Cracker Jacks (3 packs) – $1
Buy 3 for $3
Save $3 instantly
Final price = FREE
I can pretty much guarantee you that your store will be out of Cracker Jacks by the end of the day. Get a rain check. I’m not sure how long the buy 3, save $3 promotion is going on, but get a rain check just in case. And if you’re going to do this deal – be considerate of others and don’t clear the shelf. No one needs a lifetime supply of Cracker Jacks.
p.s. This is not an advertised sale. I did hear from one person who tried it and it didn’t work. I don’t know why it would work for one, but not another. The UPC on the boxes I bought were 030000029138 – might want to compare to the ones in your store. Since it’s not advertised, there isn’t much you can do. Try at your own risk and let me know if it works for you!
And make sure to upload the $0.50 cantaloupe e-coupon in your Safeway Just for U account. Cantaloupes are on sale for $1, so they come to only $0.50 cents each. This is a one-time coupon, but there is no limit. I bought four (4) cantaloupes and paid just $2! If I were to buy more, in another transaction, the coupon would not come off. It’s one-time, no limit.
Cantaloupes – $1
$0.50 off Cantaloupe
Final price = $0.50 cents
And I tested out this $10 e-coupon on the Cheesecake Factory gift card and it worked like a charm. I purchased a $50 gift card and received $10 off instantly. That’s like saving 20% off our meal before we even go to the restaurant, plus you can typically use coupons or promotions when you pay with a gift card.

(Thanks, Jennifer!)

I found on of the flyers in produce section by salad dressings. So, if I show that flyer to the cashier, will they honor it?

You’re wrong about the CrackerJack not being an advertised sale. It is part of this promo advertsised in store.

Hmmm, wonder if the deal ended this morning!?! I can’t figure this out. I bought it at 7:58 a.m. Wonder if the computers switched over at 8 a.m. PST? Sorry Elizabeth and thanks for letting me know!

Wow! Good job! Were you able to go kid-free because your husband is home for the summer? I do enjoy when I can make a child-free, early Saturday morning run.
What will you do with all the cantaloupe? Does it freeze well for smoothies or will you be able to eat it fast enough?
Heather Clarke says
Anne – Yes, kid-free thanks to husband being home. My kids eat fruit like crazy – so I bet we’ll go through a melon a day. I’ve considered dehydrating it, but I’m not sure. We’ll see! A great deal.
