I heard rumor JcPenney had some good deals, so I had to stop in to check it out. I left almost giddy that I got my son 6-packs of athletic socks for $2.40 and 5-packs of wash clothes for $2.40. These are my favorite kinds of deals – ones that I know are going to good use!
But they had a TON of other fantastic deals that I had to force myself to pass up because we just don’t need them at this time and we’ve already done our giving tree donations this year. They had LOTS of toys on sale – LaLaloopsy dolls, Minnie Mouse, Mega Bloks, Melissa and Doug and other popular brands.
Through today, you can use this friends & family coupon that will score you an extra 20% off your entire purchase! I had actually forgotten mine at home but asked before I started shopping if they would honor it and they graciously said, yes! You can probably pull it up on your phone and show it to them, if they don’t have one handy, but ask beforehand or better yet, print it out and bring it with you. Valid TODAY only.
Lots of sock packages were marked down to only $3 but only $2.40 after the 20% off Friends and Family coupon! They also had colorful/decorative socks in the women’s department at this price. And there were some packages of boys underwear marked down to $3-5 a package.
I love these 5 packs of wash towels for $3, but only $2.40 after the 20% off Friends and Family coupon! I’m sending some to my sister in her Christmas package and I think I’ll give a package to Grammie since she’s always cleaning up after my kiddos. 🙂
If you like to bake, check out the kitchen clearance rack. I found a lot of specialty baking pans for 30-40% off, plus you’d get the extra 20% off with the Friends and Family coupon.
I think the key to JCP now that they’ve changed their pricing structure is PATIENCE. You have to walk around and look in the nooks and crannies for the discounted deals. Don’t trust the signs, they are a bit deceiving because they say $5 and UP and often times it’s “up”. But look around and dig through piles to find the $2 and $4 items!
At checkout, make sure to get 2 free Christmas buttons. Enter the codes on the back at jcp.com/christmas to see if you win! I didn’t win, but the buttons sure are cute. You can win coupons off your next purchase and even a family vacation (wouldn’t that be nice?)
*REMEMBER – Clearance varies by store. These were deals found this morning at the Olympia, WA JCP*
(Thanks, Celia!)

As a Jcpenney employee and a couponer, I have to agree that the store really does have some great clearance prices right now. I’ve loved hearing about everyone winning prizes with the buttons too! Make sure to fill out your surveys at the end of your receipt, that’s another way to win. 🙂

I must be the only one, but I love their new pricing, and a lot of their new merch, too!

Maegan – I’ve had great luck with the new pricing system. I love it. I have gotten more picky, I won’t pay more than $4 for anything there anymore. It’s probably hurting business, but I know it will go down to $2 if I wait!

I grabbed two pairs of jeans for my 14 yr old son(men’s size) and 1 for my 12 yr old daughter for $8 each (wish I had found more in their sizes) also grabbed a lalaloopsy magnetic doll set for $4 for my 3 yr old. The JCP I went too is a smaller so less selection, wish I had made the trip to the bigger one but happy with what I found. My buttons weren’t winner either Heather so don’t feel bad.

I scored tons of clearance toys for $0 with holiday certificates won from buttons! Not even any tax to pay! So far we’ve gotten over $60 worth of toys and clothing for absolutely free… you can enter up to 2 buttons a day. With each round of buttons I’ve entered I’ve gotten at least one holiday cert so the odds are awesome; $5 and $10 denominations!
Heather says
Wow! Lucky you. Both my buttons weren’t winners, but I’ll keep trying!
