    • Dominick says:

      I just came back from the Astoria Kaufmann theatre in Queens and The Nut Job and Annie were both playing

  8. This used to be cool but now 1/3, 6 out of 18, of the movies on the list are available on netflix instant streaming. My local theater started June 9th. Four out of the seven movies playing in June we have already watched on netflix.

  12. Marquee Cinemas is also doing kids shows, for free! The movies are pretty much the same, too.

  13. Does anyone know what week we are on? The site doesn’t give dates, so I am not sure which movie is currently playing. Thanks!

    • Week 1 was June 24;
      Week 2 was July 1;
      Week 3 was July 8
      Week 4 = July 15 ( Tues. = Lego Movie, Wed. = Free Birds)
      Week 5 = July 22,
      Week 6 = July 29
      Week 7 = Aug 5
      Week 8 = Aug 12
      Week 9 = Aug 19

      • Oh, wait, I just saw another site that says that different theaters started on different weeks. So you need to call the theater to see what week they are on. The dates I listed were for my area in VA.

  14. Heather B says:

    Bummer, the nearest ones to me are over an hour away

  15. Bummed all the movies are PG! Only one G

  16. Jeanne Marks says:

    Is it regular price for whoever brings them? Do they have to be accompanied by an adult, or can an older child bring them? How many children can go with an accompanying person? It’s a wonderful chance for the kids to see the movies and will keep them occupied.

  17. How does this work? Do you just go during the show times and pay $1 for the kids movies?

  18. They are actually good ones this year! The last two years they have been showing ones that I didn’t think were appropriate for my 2 and 6 year old. These are way better! Hooray!

  19. I love this… Thank you!

  20. Krista Dennis says:

    cinemark is also doing it this year. If you buy the whole series for the summer the movies are only $.50 each!
