Rise and Shine is my way of sitting down and having a cup of coffee with you! We talk about the new deals of the day, highlights from yesterday, and anything else that might help us save time, money or energy. Published Monday through Friday – as I’m able.
Good morning! How are you doing today? I’ve missed Rise and Shine! Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday my mornings the past week has been a bit hectic around here. I know many of you scored some amazing deals and I appreciate all the sharing, commenting and helping that’s happened around here and on the Queen Bee Facebook page this week.
We’ll continue the coverage of online deals and I expect Amazon to remain very competitive, especially with toy prices through at least the 20th of December. I plan to update the Amazon toy list later this morning with the new price drops (we’ve removed toys that have jumped in price, but I need to add new ones!)
While I was busy this past weekend delivering the deals, we still found lots of time for fun and family time. It snowed so the kids had fun playing in the snow and we warmed up with hot cocoa and lots of Christmas movies. We had company over Saturday night and on Sunday afternoon I even snuck in a 2 hour nap with my sweet girl. The temperatures are still below freezing and we still have some snow on the ground. 🙂 How was your weekend?
The colder temps have me craving soup – so last night I made up a batch of this Hot & Sour soup. As busy as I was with deals all day – this literally takes 10 minutes to throw together! It’s low calorie and the spicy kick will clear up your sinuses (especially great for winter colds!). If you happen to have leftover turkey – I recommend a big batch of Homemade Turkey Soup.
Last year we had so much fun featuring your Elf on the Shelf ideas, so I’m bringing it back this year! Send in your photos of your Elf on the Shelf doing fun and crazy things. If I feature your Elf on the Shelf here on Queen Bee Coupons you’ll get a $5 Amazon e-gift card. Get more details here.
Let me just say – our elves appeared Sunday night. The kids were so thrilled when they found them yesterday morning. Then 24 hours later – they wake up to find them in the same spot. DOH. Seriously. I suck at Elf on the Shelf. In my exhaustion last night, I completely forgot to move the elves. So there you have it – no competition from me. I’m lucky if I can move them from point A to point B. I told the kids they were probably tired from their trip back and they’ll probably just resting up. Sigh. I know you all have some fun scenarios happening – so send them in!
This past weekend I announced the winner of the Albertsons Cheese Board giveaway! Congrats to Whitney, who will get a cheese basket from Albertsons valued at $100 and an Albertsons gift card valued at $50! Thank you to everyone who entered – you had some delicious cheese boards!
