I WANT TO WIN.

There is nothing in the initial post that blamed all football players for a couple of men’s crimes. The comment was aimed at the actions of the NFL and a company like Safeway for working directly with them, in light of how they have reacted to the issue of domestic violence. The inference of stereotyping is yours alone.
It is interesting to note the number of companies that have demonstrated their commitment to the issue by limiting their cross-promotions with the NFL until they, as a governing body, can demonstrate a clear inprovement in how they respond to these issues. It is unfortuante that Safeway has not.

For Safeway to be teaming up with the NFL considering recent current events is disgusting. The actions of the NFL speak louder than words. I don’t need a promotion by local grocery store tying it to a company whose behavior is complicit with domestic violence. Perhaps Robert Mueller could investigate the team at Safeway that came up with this marketing blunder.

I disagree. I’m very happy to see this promotion, and it makes me a lot more likely to buy my soda at Safeway. I don’t approve of stereotyping. Blaming all football players for a couple men’s crimes is no different than blaming all black people for the crimes of a couple. I’ve had personal experience with domestic abuse, and I’m not impressed with the bigoted outrage I’ve heard in ‘support’ of abused people. I applaud Safeway for not giving in to the latest internet witch hunt.
